This year we were able to go to the cabin as a family and celebrate the New Year! New Years Eve. We went sledding and played in the fort. Chance even showed us some of his snowboarding skills! (Sorry they are not in order)

Here is Kayden and Xander's T-ball team! They had so much fun playing, and xander was excitied to be on his big brothers team. Xander had a rough time at first trying to figure out whether he was supposed to be up to bat or in the out field. When people would bat he would run to first base, and when he would bat he would run after the ball. We got such a good laugh out of it. Although, buy the end he was playing really good! Good job boys you did awesome

This is our Squirrel

Not only does this little guy like to sleep in his closet he also uses it as a place to stash everything. We have found parts of his dinner, Wrappers of all kinds, Sippy cups and the list goes on and on. The funny thing is sometimes he is hiding it from us, his brothers and sometimes we have given it to him. So we are unable to figure out the connection with the closet.

~The other day I had gone grocery shopping, and as I was unloaded landen managed to get a box of granola bars and eat the whole box "in his closet" by the time I had the van unloaded and groceries put away! He is a silly little one!

Training Wheels GONE!

Today is the day that we are going to try taking off the training wheels. So I was a litte skeptical of the situation because of the way he was riding when he had the training wheels on, but we got to my Aunt and Uncles (5 blocks away), and we took them off, and behold...he could ride with out them, and did a pretty good job. So we decided he could ride home with them off. It started out a little rough, but after the first block he got it down and was able to ride the rest of the way home with only a few minor problems. GREAT JOB KAYDEN WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!

He was taking the turns a little sharp and would tip over a little but he always caught himself .

First Game of the Season

So Kayden came home from school the other day, and as we were cleaning up dinner and the conversation went like this
Kayden: Mom the principle called my name today
Mom: Oh, really what for
Kayden: I don't know?
Mom: Well, did you ask your teacher
Kayden: No
Dad: Did she say anything to you?
Kayden: No
Mom: Well, why didn't you ask?
Kayden: I don't know
So we left it at that. So the next day I asked his teacher why the principle called his name, and she had said that she told Kayden that he was student of the month, and so I told her of the conversation we had. That is how most of our conversations go...what you do at school today Kayden...."play" We are so proud of you keep up the great work!

SNAKES

OK so nothing to be squeamish about. The snakes weren't real, but defiantly not what I was expecting.

So Tyler had to go to Idaho Falls for a meeting for work, and knew that later that night he would be on a flight to Indiana ( Grandfathers funeral ) and so he brought these home for the boys. I am looking at these things as he is pulling them from the bag thinking GREAT play snakes so that I can be freaked out every time I find one or step on one, because they didn't look like normal rubber snakes, but low and behold they aren't toys they are GUMMY SNAKES, and the boys ate every last bite of them. So thank you dad for all the fun and YUMMY treat. We miss you! look the the length

Spring Tease

Here was our warm weather teaser. We were able to get lots done though. We cut down 4 big tree in our back yard. We called them our trash trees I don't know what they are called, but they have the branches grow from the bottom and all over the trunk straight up so we just them all down. I didn't get pictures, because I wanted them out so we spent the day hualing them out of the back yard to the trailer and then to the green recycling center.

So now we are back to 40 degree weather, and it has been snowing :(

Spring

I know that this doesn't look like spring, but just yesterday there wasn't a pile of snow left. Brigham city got 15 inches of snow yesterday. The Tabranacle look beautiful so I decided to stop and take a couple pictures. My favorite part of winter when it snows is the white on the trees. I love when there is snow on each and every branch. Although you have to enjoy it fast, because it never lasts long. I will have to add the pictures that I took of my flowers being covered by the snow( I just remembered I had them)

It was snowing so hard to take these pictures I had to take a garbage bag and cut a hole for my lens, and a hole for the view finder, and try to take pictures and not get my camera wet. there were some pictures that I was sad because the garbage bag kept getting in the way. Although I was able to keep the camera dry.

My little Landon has the most impressive lashes. Most girls would die to have lashes like these. So why are boys so lucky to get them. When I look at them I think...I wonder what would a little mascara do. Can ya tell I am in need of a girl to doll up, but ya know if I was to have a girl she would have hardly any eye lashes at all. So girls wipe that look off your face cause I guess long lushes lashes like these only come on the male species.

MIA...

So I only have a few good excuses for not blogging. So I am going to do one long post, and then consider myself caught up, and start new. With all the photography i have been doing I bogged down my computer until it was at a snail's pace. So for my birthday My sweet husband got me an "MY BOOK" External hard drive. So I have been transferring pictures to that which is making my computer a little faster. Now we just need to update our computer so that my programs aren't bogging it down, but at least it is usable. I have been having so much fun playing with my camera and trying new things so I have been attached to my camera lately.

We had so many birthdays in November and December that it felt never ending with Christmas, and our anniversary that we never celebrate in December because of all the other stuff we have going on. I also got creative this year, and we did mostly pictures for the families, and we had fun with that. here is the christmas present we did for NANA
(the boys almost blew it, but we managed to keep it a secret)

Also the BEST news yet. Me and Tyler finished our Temple classes. We haven't set a date yet, but it is in the working. We have both worked really hard, and both had our struggles, but it feels good to be back and strong. I have learned so much, and I wouldn't change anything, because I feel that it has made me a better person.

More good news Chance got his call to Brazil, and left January 20th for the MTC or as they say it CTM in Brazil. Then in a couple of months he will then go to the South Porto Alegre Mission. We are so proud of him, and he has helped make our lives better, and what a GREAT example he is to my three little boys. Here are some pictures we took before he left. The one with him and all the Boys we did for Nana's birthday!

We then had my Great Grandma's Funeral. She had always told us that she was going to die on her birthday, and she was close, she died on January 15th and her 102 birthday would have been on the 16th of January. She was a marvelous person, and has been waiting 13 years to be reunited with her husband. I loved my great grandmother and grandfather they were inspirations to me. She did so much for her family, church and friends and was a very talented lady. I had the opportunity to use a paper I wrote for her when I was in 7th grade as her obituary, and that meant a lot to me. I loved them so much and I can't wait to see them again. I unfortunately didn't get all of my grandmother talents, but I did take after my grandfather who was a photographer. I only hope that some day I can be as good as he was.

We had lots of fun snow days this year, and so here are a few of the boys enjoying the snow.

You would think that things would slow down when you kids start school...Well, NEWS FLASH it seems to only get busier. It seems I have less time in the day after I take the kids to school, run all my errands, pick them up from school (kindergarten with two more years to go) do homework, read books, bath and bedtime(that doesn't include all the normal stuff lunch, dinner, breakfast, bath etc). So then you add all the extra things like, volunteering at the school, being a room mom, going to meetings. So then starts the sports...Kayden soccer in the spring, fall and winter, Softball in the summer, football in the summer-fall, and then who knows when basketball starts. I thought they were hard young...I think I take that back becuase I do more running around then I ever have

Ok I am going to consider myself caught up, and I will try to update more often and not get behind!

I Support Proposition 8

YES on Proposition 8
PLEASE READ THIS no matter what state you live in.
Failure to pass Proposition 8 will hurt children. If gay marriage remains legal, public schools will put it on equal footing with traditional marriage. Children will likely receive "age appropriate" information about sexual relations within heterosexual and homosexual marriages.
Failure to pass Proposition 8 will hurt churches. The court's decision will inevitably lead to conflicts with religious liberty and free speech rights. Society will become more and more hostile to traditional beliefs about marriage and family. Over time, greater acceptance of nontraditional marriage will be demanded of all people. This could impact the ability of any religion to teach and practice its beliefs. Including adoption agencies.
A YES vote will not hurt gays. In California, the law provides for marriage-related benefits to be given to civil unions and domestic partnerships. Proposition 8 does not diminish these benefits.

On Friday, October 10th, 2008 a first-grade class took a field trip to witness a lesbian wedding in California. posted in an article from the San Francisco Chronicle.
A father in Massachusetts was frustrated when his twin kindergartners were taught about homosexuality at school by the teachers. He insisted he be notified in the future before such things were discussed so he could pull his boys out of school.He was taken to jail..
A Catholic adoption agency In the UK closed their doors because of the Government's new homosexual equality laws. The Equality Act forbids discrimination in the provision of goods and services on the basis of sexual orientation. The law was forced through Parliament last year despite past Prime Minister Tony Blair's recommendation that Catholic adoption agencies be exempted from the rules.
Earlier this month judges in Conneticut overturned the state law (just as the judges in California did) to legalized gay marriage. This is not just an issue in California. We voted years ago to keep traditional marriage as the only marriage recognized in the state of California, 4 judges overturned our vote…and we need to fight back. That is what this Proposition is about. This is happening everywhere and the leaders of the church and others have warned that the outcome of California's vote will affect the way the other states vote. So PLEASE…even if you don't live in California, put this on your blog or email this on. The internet knows no state line. You know contacts in California that I don't…and so do your friends. Please pass this on as it could eventually have an effect on everyone!

First day of school

Kayden's first day of school

He asked for waffles for his breakfast and that is just what he got.

I can't hardly believe that Kayden has started Kindergarten. We got there showed him his class and where he would sit, and then it was like, "bye mom" I left feeling a little sad. When we picked him up he told me all about his day, and how much fun he had.

Here is what Xander thought about the first day of school!

Xander rides the bus out to Corrinne again this year. I was wondering how he was going to do when back to school night was a mess. He wouldn't even let go of my neck, but needless to say he got on the bus, and was fine. When he got home from school he was so excited to tell me about the sticker his teacher gave him, and the book that was in his back pack.

Well, Two down one to go...I think that is going to be the hardest is when I send my baby off to school (even just preschool) I know he is almost three, but he is still my baby, and I look at all my boys and wonder where has all the time gone. They have just grown up so fast. It has been so much fun though each new milestone they hit is another adventure waiting to happen.

Yellowstone National Park

Saturday we went to Yellowstone National Park. Out of all the times that I have been to the cabin I have never been in the park. The pictures are kind of out of order so I will let you know what each one of them are. I don't have the patients to reorganize them into the right order

After a long day in Yellowstone we headed back to the cabin for some SMORES

Papa and Kayden trying to cook the marshmallows but they would get to hot and fall off. That is why you don't cook marshmallows with something metal it just melts the inside.

We successfully got one, and Kayden couldn't wait to get another one

THE CANDY STORE

Next three pictures are the boys showing off their candy that they got to pick out at the candy store...although they don't know what they are missing because we go straight for the Huckleberry taffy.

Then it is off to our favorite ice cream place. We always have to eat hear. you can pretty much make your own ice cream...you start with vanilla and then you put just about anything you want in it YUUUMMMYYYY!

Me and landen there wasn't much of an opportunity to take many pictures, because there were so many foreign people there, and they were pushing and shoving, and didn't care who was in there way so I was happy with what I got!

Here is goes...I was very disappointed though it wasn't all that I thought it was going to be...there were geysers going higher across they way, and were a lot more to look at. I don't know if it was my position, but anyways it was worth it, and I have now seen Old Faithful

Papa's Fishing Hole

PAPA'S FISHING HOLE

After we ate at Big Juds we took the biker men home to let them unpack their things, and then we loaded up the van, and took the boys to Papa's FAMOUS fishing hole. Kayden Proud to be using his new fishing pole

They have to carry the boys across the river to the sand bar so that they are able to stay dry and fish. Papa carried Kayden over.

Here is Tyler and Xander headed over (Don't my husband look HOT in those sexy green wader's? (he had to barrow them from his dad so he wouldn't get wet and cold)
Kayden fishing...he actually caught one all by himself watch the video of him catching his first FIRST fish. He was so proud of himself. when he got out there Papa gave him some quick instructions, and he left him to do his thing. With the way Kayden was casting you think he had been doing it his whole life.

(The whole time I am filming him I am getting eaten alive by mosquito's, and I have bee's buzzing around me, and so that is why it is a little shaky in some places. I also added a short clip of Xander...He defiantly liked being able to fish, and was a little sad that he didn't catch anything, but he sure did have fun)

Idaho falls and Big Juds

So we decided to take our vacation just before school started. With the Weeks Family our vacation starts the minute we pull out of the garage, and hit the road. WARNING: there will be a tone of pictures, and a few videos!

Our first stop of the day was in Idaho Falls to get gas, and so we decided that we would stop by the falls and get some pictures of the boys and the Temple. It was a beautiful day!

We stretched our legs a little, and then all climbed back into the van and where on our way to the cabin!

Arriving at the cabin...Almost time for bed, can ya tell? The next day we met Papa Harley (can you tell by the attire) and Dad at BIG JUDS. The BEST place in town to get a hamburgerBelieve it or not that hamburger fed...Tyler, Kayden, Xander and Landen, and could have fed me because there was some left over.

Me, Deanna and the boys decided we would head up Thursday afternoon, and get everything unpacked and enjoy our three days up there. Gene and Tyler headed up Friday on their bikes. They had a good ride.
There are many more pictures, but I am going to break them up a little in to different sections that way the pictures are easier to manage!

We had our good friends Jake and Katie, and their three beautiful kids over for dinner. While the men settled in for a game on the Wii the kids were ready to hit the back yard. We had found a bat and ball at Wal-mart, and with Jake and Tyler playing softball all summer just knowing that it was sitting in the car was driving the boys crazy. So we broke it out. Everyone had fun time trying to hit the ball! Here are some pictures from the eventful night!

Sleepover

Kayden had his FIRST sleepover at the new house. Jace (his cousin) came, and we set up the tent. Xander is old enough that he wanted to be included, but you know the rule THREE IS A CROWD. I ended up having a sleep over with Xander until he went to sleep. We also got us a treat (shh... don't tell the other boys! he he!) He was OK with mom sleeping with him. So Jace and Kayden slept in the tent.
We had a fun time! Thanks Jace for coming and sleeping over we will have to do it again sometime! Xander in the bottom picture is giving the weirdest look...It must be way past bed time!

Swimming Lessons

Kayden has always been a little scared of the water. This is his third year in the begging class, and we will probably have one more years, but each year he keeps getting better and better. Xander on the other hand we were scared to put him in. Xander sometimes he likes things and sometimes he doesn't, and it is sometimes we have to figure it out. Anyways thought that it would be a problem putting him into swimming lessons, but low and behold he LOVES it. We took him swimming one day and were surprised how fast he picked things up and was just having the time of his life. He won't put his head under the water unless he jumps off the side, but he does everything that is instructors as of him. Here is a video of them. Sorry in some places it is shaky, because Landen would bump into me or need something or just wants to be held because he felt a little left out. Word of warning it is a long one!

Lagoon Day

LAGOON DAY!
So we decided this year we would take the boys to Lagoon Day with Gene's work. We had fun, but next time we will plan a little differently than this time Around.

Jace and Kayden had to go in the Haunted house

first thing, and so that is what we did, and this was how they
were through the whole ride!

So in between these rides we took them on the Tidal Wave, and for those of you who don't know what that is let me explain it is a BIG pirate ship that goes back and forth and gets higher and higher. (last year Jay took Jace and he loved it) Well, it didn't go exactly like that this year. We took Jace, Xander and Kayden. Jace screamed his little heart out and wanted to get off, Kayden held on to the bar as tight as his little hands could and cried (he sure knows how to make mom feel bad) and Xander went white I was glad that I didn't end up with breakfast in my lap...so needless to say we stuck to the kiddie rides for the rest of the day

I haven't been to Lagoon in many years, and they had a lot of new rides for the younger kids for example the swings which the boys really enjoyed

Here is the smaller version of the Tidal Wave, and the boys loved it when they got off all that came out of their mouths was lets do it again...Kayden didn't want to go we tried, but he just stood there.

We then headed to the Bowery where Gene's company supplied us with drinks and lunch so we took some cute pictures of the boys and played some games that they had set up for the kids (the lines were a lot shorter then the Lagoon rides that was for sure)

TATTOO BOYS

The next few pictures are of us waiting a hour and a half to ride Rattle Snake Rapids. You can tell by the red faces that it was hot, and we need to cool down. So we waited. Our next intentions were to go to Lagoona Beach, and stay in the water till it cooled off a little...well, that was everyone else intentions too. For all that don't know Lagoon Beach has a capacity limit, and so every time someone leaves they let more people in. Well the line looked just about as long as some of the rides, and we weren't going to wait in anymore hot lines, and so we decided to take the boys home and go to the pool here in town we had a blast, and weren't to bummed that we had to leave Lagoon early.

Next time we will defiantly plan better, and go to Lagoona Beach first thing and then ride the rides. THANKS PAPA HARLEY FOR INVITING US AND GETTING THE TICKETS!

Primary Olympics

The boys had to opportunity to go to their new ward primary activity. They did the summer Olympics. They had a BLAST! Landen was just as happy watching the whole thing with a smile on his face. Although, Xander didn't like the Vaseline on his hand to go pick up the cotton balls, but they had fun. enjoy the little show of it all.

So with all the SOFTBALL Tyler has been playing it has started making an impression on little landen. He now wants to play all the time. He loves to wear my mitt and catch the ball, and then he has a little red bat that he is constantly trying to hit that ball. I guess it is time for T-ball!

Potty Training

Well, it is a belief that all children will be potty trained (not in diapers) when they go to Kindergarten. Well, I think I am about to prove them all wrong. We have been off and on with Xander and trying to potty train him. We have tried rewards...We have tired bribes (YES bribes)

NOTHING WORKS!! We don't want to push too hard, but on the other hand it is time.

We have tried just about anything. Every time he sits on the potty we give him a treat just for sitting on the potty. He will hold it though until he gets a diaper on. He will scream at us that he doesn't want to be a BIG BOY and he wants his DIAPER ON NOW!!! Any suggestions on how you potty trained your child would be greatly appreciated. On a side note...Kayden was easy it took him about two weeks and WA..LA he was done, but Xander just doesn't want to have anything to do with it.

Landen on the other hand wants to do it, and gets excited, but then he gets off the potty walks around and then does his business all over my floor...I wish I could just tie him to his potty chair. He is just not getting the concept.

Today anyways we got crackers and Gatorade, and set them down on the potty and I said eat and drink and maybe we can get something into those potties. Well, landen didn't last long he didn't get nap today, and couldn't hold his head up anymore and took a nap on the potty. Here is Landen sleeping away, and in the second picture you see Xander eating and drinking. It has now been two hours and nothing in the potty, and Landen is still sleeping :)

New Ward

So now that we have officially moved into our new house we had the opportunity to attend our new ward. They have been waiting patiently for us to come. Are neighbors are awesome, and have kids the boy's age, and that has really been a blessing. All the other neighborhoods we have lived in have always had older couples for neighbors. Our new ward is small, but we are excited to be here, and feel good. The Bishop has already been over to give us our date to talk in Sacrament meeting, and the R.S. has already got me teaching in R.S. this Sunday. It has been so long since I have had a teaching calling I am just a little nervous, but all will go good I am sure. The boys love there primary classes, and little Landen had a BLAST in nursery. In our last ward Landen would fall asleep during nursery, and because he always woke up scared he stopped going, and so we were anxious to see how this week was going to go. I am sure we both have callings in the making, and so I will up-date when thoes come to past!

Hobbies

So Tyler's new thing to do is to go fishing at Willard Bay. Every time he goes he brings back at least 12 Catfish. Needless to say we have a freezer full of fish awaiting to be grilled up and ate! I don't cook fish...I am not sure how I would even go about doing it. So if anyone has any tasty ways of cooking Catfish let me know. Camera FUSTRATION!

I despise the fact that they don't know how to make things as durable and what they used to be. For my Birthday Tyler got me a really nice camera (the smart husband he is also purchased a warranty to go with it) Well, the flash stopped working, and so I sent it in to get fixed. I was with out for two weeks. When it finally arrived on the front porch I was so excited I took it out and started taking pictures. We decided to go to the park, and I took that camera. Low and behold the flash STOPPED working again. I was furious, and now I am with out a camera again for another two weeks. Anyways with all that frustration here are a few pictures that I was able to take of landen.

Little Valley Day

We spent the afternoon in Mantua for Little Valley Day (Celebrated for the 24th of July)! The had a live band, and all sorts of other activities. The boys played at the park for a while, and then ventured to the dance floor until the fireworks started. We met up with some good friends Brian and Janni and their family. What a GREAT night!

Xander's Birhtday

So Xander is now 4 years old! I don't know where the time has gone, but my little boy is growing up so fast. Nana and Papa for our birthday's always have a birthday dinner, and we get to choose what ever we want. Xander's choice was pancakes and sausage. He was so into his food that he didn't throw a fit when he happened to be sitting all alone at the table (unlike any other day it would have been a complete melt down). He was completely satisfied with his birthday dinner. Xander doesn't like to be the center of attention, and so every time we would ask him to show us his gift for a picture he would hide his face.

What's Happin'

So I finally have a free moment to do a little blogging. We have been so busy with the house and trying to get moved in and everything the way we want it. We had a few set backs which prevented us from moving in sooner, but we are officially able to move in (YEAH)! So between working on the house and Softball games it has been crazy. Also, to add to everything else the accident that I was in in February has caused me a lot of problems. I have had severe neck pains and headaches. I have been going to a chiropractor, and at the end of June I got really bad, and my body would go numb down my arms, face, and chest. They did an MRI and found that I had a protruding disk in the back of my neck, and so I now have included two days to physical therapy to the two times a week that I go to the chiropractor. I am finally where I am getting back to my normal activities, but I still can't over do it. So to top that all my camera broke, and I had to send it off for three weeks to get fixed :( The flash just stopped working. OK on to the HAPPY MOMENTS!

FOURTH OF JULY

So our week started out with Tyler playing in the Perry Softball Tournament! We had games every night except Thursday, and we even had two on Tuesday, because he plays for the Brigham city men's league. They won two and lost two, and didn't get to go to the championship game, but they had fun, and they are still doing GREAT in the men's league, but here are a few pictures from the Perry league team. Tyler has had a lot of fun playing softball, and we have had a BLAST watching him. Hopefully next summer we will be able to play coed softball

The family and Brian and Janni and their kids all came up and we had a BBQ, and then we did some fireworks and sparklers. The kids had so much fun! Thanks to Dee and Gene for all the yummy food! I also Tried a new recipe and made a Raspberry Cheesecake. It turned out AWESOME I will try to remember to post it on here when I get a chance!

Soccer

Kayden started AYSO soccer a couple weeks ago, and has been excitied to play, and lots of fun to watch. Kayden's love for soccer came at a young age when he would watch his Uncle Chance play soccer on many occassions. Here are some pictures at his Uncle's game, and when he got his first soccer ball. He also loved trying on Chance's shin guards.

Soapy Mud

BATHTUB FUN

As I was going through some things we found this soap that looks like mud. So we decided to take a bath and play. Xander wanted nothing to do with it, and the moment it hit the water he wanted OUT NOW! So I got him out and dressed and he watched from a safe distance. Landen was curious, but not enough to touch it. We put a little on him, and he wanted it washed off right away, but I managed to get a couple of pictures. Towards the end he would put a little on his hand and then wash it off right away. Kayden loved the stuff he would have sat there all day playing with it! It was a great way to pass the time. Just when we get excitied that it is warming up the next day it snow....ahhhh I just want SPRING!

Skateboarding

So Landen has this obsession which started when he would stand at the window and watch his Uncle Chance skateboard. He would watch him for hours. One day Chance took him out to try the skateboard, and the guy wouldn't get off of it with out a fight. After that he would use anything he could find to skate across the floor with. He would mostly use cars, and Tupperware lids. Well then this came about. Watch the video, and pay close attention to what he is using as a skateboard. I was amazed by what this little guy could do!

Easter Egg Hunt

We all went to Nana's house for an Easter Egg Hunt. The boys had lots of fun. Xander, Kayden and Jace all took off for the eggs, and little Landen found one. He opened that egg and when he found out there was candy inside he didn't care about the rest of the eggs. A BIG thanks to Nana for such a great Easter Dinner. How we love when the family gets together every Sunday, but when thoes holidays fall on a Sunday how much more special they are!

Craziness

I haven't posted anything in a long time, but I have a very good reason...I promise.
First we got rear-ended back at the end of February, and it has taken a month to get the car fixed. I also got whiplash pretty bad, and have been going to the chiropractor to help with all the headaches (which I normally don't have). Accidents are never convenient for any party even when it isn't your fault!
Second we are in the process of getting a house (YEAH)! We have been doing all the inspections and hope to close sometime after April 7th.
Third our computer has been down, and so my cousin has it currently trying to fix it, and so our little lap top won't hold all my programs, and so I can just do the basic on that.

So there has been our crazy life in a Nut Shell! I will post pictures, here soon, and a video of the house when I get our computer back.

Landen's NAP TIME!

So this is what Landen does for a half an hour after we lay him down for an afternoon nap. He does it everyday, and we decided to video tape to see what he actually does, because if we are in there he does nothing. Now the kid doesn't do any of this stuff while he is with us. This first one is his song he goes to gymnastics on Wednesday, and for one of the stretches you rub your legs and say peanut peanut butter, and then you rub your face, and say JELLY, and then at the end you pat it down on your legs. The second clip is that he hears the train whistle in the background. he loves to listen for the bus, planes, and the trains. so watch and listen carefully!

Valentines Day

HaPpY vAlEnTiNeS DaY!

This year we did Valentines Day as a family. Tyler's dad was out of town for buisness, and so we took Deanna and Chance with us to Ogden. We ate at the Pizza Factory (YuM...YuM!) We used to eat there when we would go down to Cedar City to watch Chance play soccer at the Summer Games. So it was nice to have one in Ogden. After a stressful week at work because of inventory Tyler had to work eight days before his next day off. We wanted to just go have some fun! So we then hit the FLOWRIDER Chance surfed the whole time, and kept getting better, and better. Ty on the other hand hit the knee boarding first, and got really good at that. He then up-graded to the surfing side, but after a few wipeouts went back to the knee boarding. We then went to check out I-FLY which is a sky dive simulator we just watched them do it, and it was pretty cool. They also have an arcade in which we hit next, and the boys played some games, and then we called it a night. Here are some picutres and video clips of our WoNdErFuL night!

Honoring President Hinckley

As I was getting my boys to bed I pulled up the KSL site, and was reading when I came to the heading saying that President Hinckley had passed I couldn't believe what I was reading and it took a while to soak in. He had more energy at his age than I do at my age sometimes! He was able to make everyone laugh and made life seem easy. My heart goes out to all the people whose lives he has touched, including my own. I feel so fortunate to have had his influence in my life as I went through the adolescent and young adult years. Not only will he be missed by his family and members of the church, he will also be missed by the whole world. How happy I feel for him to be reunited with his dear wife, and our Father in heaven what a blessed thing.
I remember attending a General Young Woman's meeting. I invited an inactive girl in our ward to come with. As we headed down with our leaders we just talked about the random everyday things. We were able to be there in the tabernacle in Salt Lake for the meeting When he walked in the door everyone stood up and with no music playing we sang, "We Thank Thee O God for a Prophet." The Spirit was so strong that tear started running down our checks. I was so grateful to know that I stood in the presence of a true prophet. On the drive home the conversation changed to a much more spiritual setting. With this I am sad with the passing of our Phophet, but I am also at peace knowing that we will always have a prophet to teach us, and lead us in the right direction, and that he will be renited with our Heavenly Father. He was a wonderful man and showed this world what the LDS church was all about. He was loving, kind and Patient somethings I surely need to work on. He showed the world gratitude and the true meaning of being Christ-Like. We will all miss you and in your honor I will strive to live by your teachings.

This year going to church is a little difficult for Landen. We go from 11:30-2:30 durring his normal naptime. So sometimes he is just down right cranky all through church. Last sunday Tyler got him to go to sleep and he slept till sunday school, and then headed to nursery, but today he decided to hold out on us until he got home. At first he was just being a tease, and pretending to go to sleep...well that pretending put him right to sleep.

Nana got this new toy for her Birthday, and The boys have had more fun on it than she has. Kayden like to pretend box with his dad, and so when they got on the tramp then they pretended to be Rocky the boxer. Here is a video of each of them showing off their boxing skills...

We are all very excited, and you may have to turn it up to hear what he is saying, because he wouldn't stop moving around. When Xander was younger he couldn't say Kayden and so he would call him "Ha Ha". Well, about a month ago Kayden decided that he didn't like to be called Ha Ha, and so he would continually tell Xander that was not his name, and that it was Kayden. I decided that I need to help him, because we kind of thought it was cute until Kayden got so upset about it. Well it took Xander three weeks to catch on, and know it is Kayden. The bad news is that Landen took after his older brother and call both of the "Ha Ha"

Xander has also learned his name not only does he know how to say it, but he thinks that everything that has the letter "X" in it is his name. So for my birthday my boys took me out to Maddox, and it has the big turning sign out front, and he would say look there is my name...it gone now when it turned and could no longer see it, and when it came back...look there is my name...it gone now. He thought that was the coolest thing seeing his name (The letter "X") on the big sign.

Snow Day!

We have had a lot of snow this year. It snowed off and on for about five days in a row, and now we get snow just about everyday. The last time I remember having this much snow was when I was in 6th grade and we got a snow day, and went sledding all day. So we took advantage of all the snow we have received. .

Before we had moved back to utah we had gotten Kayden completely out of diapers he had gone two weeks without an accident at night, but when we moved to uath they had to sleep on a blow up, and thoes aren't easy to clean if you do happen to have an accident so we put him back in a diaper until we could get his bed that was already accident proofed. So we started again training him at night. At first we had a few accidents until we got everything regulated, and he has now gone a week and half accident free. Well, Papa had told him that when he had gone a week that he would take him to the store and he could pick out something that he wanted. Kayden ask every night if they could go to the store, but we just kept counting down the days. Well monday came, and Kayden and his cousin Jace went with Nana and Papa to the Dollar store and this is what he came home with

Sickness...

This winter we have had our fair share of sickness, and I can't wait for it to be done. We started with Pink Eye, and just about everyone got their turn with it. They have a big problem with it at Xander's school, and it seemed as though we would never get rid of it. We were at it for probably a month. Well, that next month is when things really got bad. On Christmas Eve Kayden came down with the stomach flu that morning. He came down stairs complaining that his belly was hungry because he didn't eat all of his hot dog the night before, but two seconds after finishing his sentence mom's hand were cupped under his mouth and we were running to the bathroom. For the remainder of the day he sat on the couch with a bowl on his lap. Although he did liven up when we got to open presents that night. Well we made it till Thursday afternoon, and we thought the worst was over, and that just Kayden would get it, but little did I know that at 2:00 am on Friday Xander would wake up with it. He woke me out of a deep sleep and so it took me a while to figure out what was going on, and by the time I made it to him he had covered himself, his blanket, pillow, and bed. So Xander slept in bed with us, and at every movement I had the bowl ready to go! We were supposed to leave for the cabin that next morning, but we had to put that trip on hold till Saturday. We then left for the Cabin on Saturday as planned, and had a BLAST there, but when New Years Eve hit so did the Stomach Flu for Landen, and of course it has to be while people are supposed to be sleeping. Unfortunately at the cabin this time there was something wrong with the hot water heater, and so we didn't have hot water, but kudos to dad for keeping the water going on the stove so we could wash him all up. Me and Landen slept (well Landen slept) on the couch, and in the morning were ready to head home. So on the way home we tried to figure out who was next. Well we were all right on our guess, because Thursday morning Tyler started, then Chance, then me, then Deanna, and then Gene. We all started with in hours of each other. So just when we think that it can't get worse Xander starts with a fever, and so we take him to the doctor, because we thought he had chicken pox (in which he does have one on his arm). Poor little guy had strep throat, ear infection and impetigo. So now it is just a matter of time until that all goes around at least the boys, and after this I sure hope we are done!

This Year we got to spend New years at the Cabin in Island Park. We had a Blast going sledding and playing in the snow. We played games and just relaxed. Although just after we got done celebrating the new year Landen got that stomach bug that kayden and Xander had early that week, but we pulled though it and made it home! I will post some sledding picutres later.

Lead Poisoning

When Xander was two he had some how gotten Lead Poisoning, and his levels were high. We still today do not know how he ingested the Lead. About a year later this lady got a hold of me because she was doing an article about Lead Poisoning. She ended up not using anything about Xander, but it is very informative, and if you read anything on my blog please read this.

Our Christmas day starts out like this: In the Morning we open all the gifts from Santa, and from the family.We also have Cinnamon rolls, hot chocolate, orange juice for a quick breakfast so we have plenty of time to play with our new toys! Then we go to Grandma Bott's house and open presents from them and the family and exchange gifts. Grandma Bott makes a Christmas lunch. We then go to Nana and Papa's house to open presents from them that night, and have another Christmas dinner there.

For the Weeks Family Traditions it starts on Chirstmas Eve Night. We start the night by having sub-sandwiches, chips, salads and desserts. We then open gifts from our Secret Santa's ( Although it is not much of a secret when you have such a small family, but it is still fun!) We Also get to open presents from Tyler's Grandparents, and Nana and Papa give the Grandkids Christmas Jammie's to wear to bed! This Year Kayden had it rough though he had the stomach flu Christmas eve.

We Had to get the house ready for a Christmas Open House, and so we put all the men to work! Kayden made ornaments for the Christmas Tree, and then hung them. Tyler and his dad painted the door, and Landen just looked like he was working, but he was really just playing. Xander was at school so he didn't get a job to do.

We have a Birthday dinner for each kid, and Kayden choose to have Sandwiches which was a very easy dinner! He also choose to have a Tractor cake which he was very excited to see! That morning I had to go to the store, and the conversation with dad went like this:
Kayden: I know where mom went
Dad: Where?
Kayden: She went to get my Birthday Cake!
Dad: No she didn't
Kayden: Yes She did!
Little did Kayden know that Nana and Papa had gotten it the night before all this and it was out in the garage so that he wouldn't see it so later that night Kayden and mom's conversation went like this
Mom: Kayden what are we going to do...We forgot your cake
Kayden: It's OK mom
That was the sweetest thing, and I was happy to have that cake in the garage, because it wasn't a big deal to have a cake, but he was sure surprised when we brought that cake out!

Good & Bad NEWS!

UPDATE: Good News: We have received Landens results from the MRI, and they have come back normal and so he doesn't have Cerebral Palsy which is a relief in someways. Bad News: The Doctor from Primary Children's Hospital has diagnosed him with Encephalopathy which is pretty much a brain disorder, but they don't know which one yet. He said that 50% of children you are able to see defects from the MRI, and the other 50% it gets harder, and you guessed it we are in that 50%. So right now we are getting him to Early Interventions hoping that we are able to help things with occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy before we try the medication. We go back to the doctor in three months to see what are options are at that time, but for now we are just doing the early interventions to see if we can make any progress there!

Tree House

This month for Kayden's Preschool field trip we went to the Tree House in Ogden. We had never been before, and so it was an adventure for us. They had so many different things you could do. If your child loves to pretend and dress up than this is a GREAT place each part is themed and you can dress up in each section. Here are some pictures of our adventure to the Tree House!

Graham Cracker

Last week I had hurt my neck, and it was stiff and sore. Anyways to make a long story short I had spent a week going to the Chiropractor, and had to go this particular morning in which I brought Kayden with me. We had pulled up and he had said mom are we at the GRAHAM CRACKERS, and me and Deanna busted out laughing, and then explained that it was chiropractor. Later that week I asked Kayden where does mom go when she has a hurt neck and once again he proudly answered GRAHAM CRACKER!

Santa...at Dad's work?

Santa can go just about anywhere...if you don't believe me then you can ask three little boys that have seen him at the mall, and today he was at their Dad's work. (which got them all excitied) They got to sit on his lap and tell him what they wanted for Christmas. Kayden wanted a Transformer, and Xander was just being stubborn you can tell by the picture, and Landen wasn't sure what to think!

Getting ready for Thanksgiving dinner. The boys were delighted to help with dinner. I would have taken pictures of us eating, but I was too busy eating :) Although we had a great Thanksgiving. Papa fried a turkey in his fryer, and Nana made pumpkin pies, noodles, fruit salad, stuffing, deviled eggs, green been casserole, broccoli and cauliflower. It was all so yummy!
